About us:

Based in the heart of Birmingham's historic Jewellery Quarter, W J Sutton Ltd. are a leading manufacturing and wholesale jewellery business.
With over 130 years of experience in the jewellery industry, we are one of the UK's most established distributors of Sterling Silver and 9ct Gold jewellery.

We offer our customers competitive prices and a wide variety. Our ever evolving range consists of over 6,000 products including our heritage design handmade chains, machine made chains, earrings, pendants, cufflinks and findings.
We are a trade only business and offer a discrete and highly personal service to our trade customers.

Our prices will fluctuate based on the London Bullion fixes.

New Customers:

Click on 'Create Account' at the top of the page.
Fill the fields on the next page with the required information and create a unique username & password. Please note that this username & password cannot be changed.

Click 'Sign Up'. You can expect your account to be confirmed within 1 working day, after which your account will be ready to use.
We have some long standing clients who have credit accounts. However, because banks are reluctant to extend their credit facilities, several of them are struggling to pay to our terms.
Therefore, we are only opening new credit accounts in very exceptional circumstances.

For customers in Great Britain, Ireland and the Channel Islands, we are happy to organise for one of our independent agents to visit your premises with our range.

Minimum orders:

The minimum order that we accept is £50, excluding VAT and postage.

Delivery:

We endeavour to dispatch all items that are in stock on the same day or the following day.
If your parcel has not arrived within 2 working days, please contact a member of our team at 0121-604-5446.
The delivery charge for parcels valued over £50 will be sent Special Delivery at a cost of £7.50. This value is given on web orders at the time of payment.
Any items left on back order will not be charged postage, if the value of the parcel is under £50 we will send this first class tracked.
We do not offer dropshipping services. This is because we are a bulk distributor and have not incorporated the costs of individual parcels into our costings.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 9am-4pm
Weekend: Closed
Excluding bank holidays and seasonal holidays.

Our policy lasts 14 days or as stated on a Sale or Return parcel. Goods may be returned without reason within this period.**
Goods with manufacturing faults are guaranteed for a year from the date of invoice. Any repair credits or exchanges after this period would be at our discretion.
Goods will not be considered faulty if they appear to have been damaged through excessive wear or neglect by the customer.

Exceptions

**Special orders/Bespoke items and Earrings are exempt from being returned.
We do not accept returns of special or bespoke goods unless they have a manufacturing fault.
For hygiene reasons we do not accept returns of earrings. Earrings are also not available on a sale or return basis. However, we will replace any earrings which have a manufacturing fault.

Completing your Return

To complete your return, please email us or call us on +44 121 604 5446 with the following details:

  • Account Name / Number
  • Invoice Number
  • Price
  • Item code
  • Quantity
  • Reason for Return
If you are unable to supply any of the above information, please give as much detail as possible.
In the event that we no longer carry that item or we are unable to identify the product, we reserve the right to supply a similar product in exchange.
We will advise you how to return the goods dependent on the weight and value.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable (unless the good being returned has a fault). If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
When returning goods to us, you must email us within 24 hours with proof of postage and a tracking number if applicable. This is to prevent postal losses. Please do not mention Jewellery, Gold or Silver on any declaration.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.
We will also notify you of any discrepancies. If your return request is approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.
If you haven't received your refund within 5 days, please contact a member of our staff.

Sale or Return

Occasionally, clients request goods on approval. We don't offer a formal approval service, but we can offer our Sale or Return service to our very best clients.

Our Sale or Return service is limited to our credit account customers only.

The quantity and value of the items is strictly at our discretion, subject to your credit account limit.

Sale or Return is limited to stock lines only. This does not include speciality ordered items (part of our special orders service), earrings for hygiene reasons, findings (gold or silver) or products that have a code beginning with an 'X' (boxes, cases and extras).

A standard shipping charge (£7.50 or £12.00, or higher for heavier parcels) will still be charged and is non-refundable. However, we will still try and combine orders for you to save on shipping.

All Sale or Return items must be returned in a sellable condition. They must be returned in their original bags with the correct code to ensure that we can process your return efficiently. Any items found damaged by improper handling and storage will be subject to a minimum 10% restocking fee (our standard policy of not charging for manufacturing defects still applies).

Any packages returned to us under our Sale or Return service will not have the shipping charge refunded, our apologies on this. We would still recommend the use of a tracked service such as Special Delivery or International Tracked and Signed For, to ensure the parcel arrives safely to us.

All Sale or Return orders have a 3 month limit; after this the order will be treated as a standard sale order and refunds, credits or exchanges will be at our discretion (barring manufacturing defects). It is your responsibility to ensure goods are returned to us by this time, otherwise they will automatically be added to your statement and money for the goods will be requested.
